SUMMARY:October Club Day Concert: Swinganui and Carol Dee Trio
DESCRIPTION:Whanganui’s Swinganui is an amazing quartet\, featurring the multi-talented Errol Christiansen on flute\, with an amazing guitarist\, Sam McLea\, and backed by a superb rhythm section double bass player\, Roger Brasell\, and Michael Franklin – Browne on drums. \n \nWe have gone out to the wider Manawatu for our second course with The Carol Dee Trio hailing from Taikorea and Pohangina. This highly accomplished group also has well established roots\, with Carol (vocals) and Mike Dee (guitar /vocals) and Jonathan Couper-Smartt. Jonathon plays fretless bass and flutes in a wide varieties of genres. Carol is a seasoned performer on stage\, and Mike has a passion for guitars\, playing with several Jazz groups around Wellington/Kapiti\, and currently with A53 Jazz Duo. \n \n
